Artisans then hand carve intricate designs onto the wood using specialised tools, a process that can take several days or even weeks depending on the complexity of the design. The wood is then sanded and polished to achieve a smooth finish, highlighting the natural grain and craftmanship. The final product, often adorned with brass inlays or lacquer work, reflects the rich cultural heritage and meticulous skill of Saharanpur's crafsmanship, perfected and passed down over generations.
